What’s been happening:

I graduated from Penn State,Beaver Stadium, Saturday June 10, 1961. On Monday June 12, 1961, I reported to HRB-Singer, State College, PA, for my first job. In 1970, 8.5 years later, I was hired by the College of Agriculture, Agricultural Experiment Station, as Supervisor of the yet to be completed Mushroom Test and Demonstration Facility. My work was directed by a committee of faculty. My electronic experiences while at HRB-Singer were needed for the new electronic controls to be used in growing mushrooms more efficiently and with higher quality. This new method of mushroom growing was changing the techniques and conditions traditional to the mushroom industry. Eight years later, I accepted the position of Manager of the Mushroom Research Center (MRC), Department of Plant Pathology under the direction of Dr. Lee Schisler. During the next 17 years plus, I had the pleasure of working for or with many professors and/or their graduate students. It was also a great satisfaction to bring new electronic controls and other up-grades to the MRC, making mushroom research easier and more successful. However, one of my greatest joys was working with graduate students. The first graduate is or was working for NASA, on interspace travel. How thrilling!! Others own their own businesses; Heading up other research labs, etc. I retired April 1,1995.
